This coin is inspired by Blackbeards ship, Queen Anne’s Revenge, which was found in 1996 off the coast of the Bogue Banks barrier island. The coin features all six law enforcement agencies who work on the island; Carteret County Sheriff’s Office, Atlantic Beach Police, Pine Knoll Shores Police, Indian Beach Police, Emerald Isle Police and NC State Parks.
